Get to know the cypriot hospitality

Pervolia is located about 17km from Larnaca centre. It is a village with approximately 1.600 inhabitants and mainly agriculture. Over the last few years it has developed into a small tourist attraction without giving up it`s unique character. It attracts descerning tourists who yearn for a small quaint place away from the large cities. A place where you can get to know the individual villagers if you wish! The sea is only 2km away

Pervolia is a typical Cypriot village, which can be described as idyllic. You will not find any big hotel complexes with animation around the clock. Instead of this you will find charming and helpful people who will let you be a part of their community and who will welcome you with open arms.

There are a few supermarkets, restaurants and banks in Pervolia. The next beaches are 10 minutes walk away. You will find stony beaches there which however become sandy as you enter the water. So the accent is not on luxuruy but on peace and quiet. Even in the peak tourist seasons, these beaches are not crowded and they are known for their crystall-clear water. Near by Cape Kiti there is a sandy beach which is about 45 minutes walk away, also served by a bus route.

The beaches around Pervolia are well suited for children because the sea deepens gradually thus allowing children to play safely.

There are a lot of places to be seen in cyprus. Because of its location Pervolia is a very good place to start. You can drive to anywhere in Cyprus within one day.

Specially in taverns and restaurants you get in touch with the local people very easily, because english is spoken everywhere. In comparison to the big tourist centres you can eat in the restaurants very well and also much cheaper.

The cypriot kitchen is a must. You have to try Meze where you get the whole cypriot menue in small portions. However therefore you need a good appetite and time to enjoy and to get explanitons of every meal. And you should try Kleftiko, the favourite meal of many cypriots: lamb meat with potatoes.

Panikos, who will look after you during your stay and speaks very well english and german as well, will confirm that every restaurant in Pervolia is worth to try. For fishgourments there are 2 fishrestaurants on the way to the lighthouse in Cape Kiti.
